Hardynge Choir

The Hardynge Choir started in 1966 and continues to provide a challenging outlet for singers wishing to perform mostly the mainstream Choral Society repertoire. The choir currently has 70 to 80 members.

Rehearsals: Mondays, 7.45 - 9.45pm, St Helen’s School, Wheathampstead

The Choir of the Chapel Royal, Hampton Court Palace

A choir established in 1868, comprising men and boys, Director of Music, Organist and Organ Scholar.

Sundays, Matins 11am (Eucharist on the first Sunday of the month),

Evensong 3.30pm. Also major feast days.

Hertfordshire County Youth Orchestra

(Principal Conductor - Peter Stark)

One of the best youth orchestras in the country, working with international conductors.

Hertfordshire Philharmonia

A self-governing, independent orchestra working with guest conductors.

VIVAMUS

A vibrant, friendly, auditioned chamber choir of c.30 singers, founded by Joseph Nolan. Concerts in notable London venues including St. John’s, Smith Square, St. Martin-in-the-Fields, St. James’s, Piccadilly and the South Bank Centre.

Rehearsals:: Thursdays, 7.30 - 9.15pm

Mid Hertfordshire Youth Orchestra

Membership by audition for advanced players.

Saturdays, 11.15am - 1pm Mid Herts Centre for Music & Arts, Hatfield.

Dacorum Youth Orchestra

Orchestra for young orchestral musicians of Grade V and above. Entry by recommendation or audition. Re-launched in Summer 2008.
